Description:
Energy Balance is an abstract work where matter, time, and light engage in a direct dialogue with the viewer. The surface is constructed from dense layers of molding paste and acrylics, worked with texturing tools that create an organic, irregular, and profoundly expressive skin.
Cerulean blue acts as the primary energy field, from which fragments of quinacridone magenta and cadmium yellow medium emerge, creating chromatic tensions that evoke movement, contrast, and vitality. Accents of iridescent and semi-iridescent gold transform the work according to the light's incidence, causing the painting's visual presence to shift between shadow and direct light.
The strategically placed black diamonds function as visual centers of gravity, anchoring the composition and reinforcing the sense of depth and balance. The final finish with a double layer of gloss varnish enhances the luminosity, seals the material, and highlights the sculptural character of the work.
This piece marks a stage of technical and conceptual exploration, where the process—slow, physical, and reflective—becomes an essential part of the final result, consolidating a contemporary abstract proposal based on the power of matter and sensory experience.
