THE REVIEW PERIOD BEGINS CONFIRMED RECEIPT

The Mason Gallery PRO/MASTER LAB process officially begins once the application has been accepted and the corresponding payment has been confirmed.

INITIAL READING · 3–5 BUSINESS DAYS

Following confirmation of entry, Mason Gallery conducts an Independent Reading of the work, identifies its key attributes, and prepares an initial assessment along with development recommendations.

SUBSEQUENT READINGS · 2–3 BISINESS DAYS

When the photographer submits a new version after applying chosen adjustments, the LAB conducts a new reading to determine if the changes have benefited the work and if there is a concrete reason to proceed.

UP TO 2 SUBSEQUENT READINGS INCLUDED

The service includes up to two additional readings when necessary. Reaching the limit of two additional readings is not a goal of the process. If the work reaches a finished state sooner, the LAB concludes its development.

STANDARD VALIDITY PERIOD · 30 DAYS

The file will remain active for a standard period of 30 days following confirmed receipt, allowing the photographer to make and submit the necessary adjustments within the process.

THE PROCESS DOES NOT MOVE FOWARD BASED ON THE NUMBER OF THE ADJUSTTMENTS.

IT ADVANCES ONLY WHEN THERE IS A REASON TO CONTINUE.

TERMS OF SERVICE

INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM · $95 USD · 1 PHOTOGRAPH

The Mason Gallery PRO/MASTER LAB — Review & Development service is conducted based on a photograph and encompasses the process of curatorial review, assessment, and development established by the LAB’s methodology.

THE SERVICE INCLUDES

Initial assessment of the work based on the seven PRO/MASTER LAB criteria, identification of protected elements, justified development recommendations, up to two re-readings when necessary, and documentation of the process using Forms 01, 02, and 03.

THE SERVICE NOT INCLUDE

The PRO/MASTER LAB service does not include direct editing of the photographic files, printing, print preparation, mounting, publication, exhibition, artistic representation, or other services not expressly part of the Review & Development process.

THE AJUSTMENTS ARE UP TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S DISCRETION, AND THE READINGS DO NOT GUARANTEEE A HIGHER CLASIFICATION.

The LAB may recommend modifications, but the photographer retains the decision regarding which ones to implement. These recommendations do not oblige the author to modify their photograph.

RE-EVALUATIONS DO NOT GUARANTEE A HIGHER RANKING

Each new version is assessed independently. A change may improve, maintain, or even diminish certain aspects of the work. The final ranking depends exclusively on the state of the photograph at that stage.

ADDITIONAL RE-READINGS

Re-readings beyond those included in the service are not generated automatically. They will only be considered when there is a clearly identified technical or artistic reason.

FILE VALIDITY

The file will remain active for a standard period of 30 days following confirmed receipt. If the photographer does not submit the corresponding versions within this period, the process may be deemed concluded at the stage reached up to that point.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION

Payment confirms the work's entry into the PRO/MASTER LAB process and enables the opening of the file and the commencement of the Independent Reading. Once the review of the work has begun, the service is considered to be in progress, and any cancellation request will be evaluated based on the work already performed.

RESULT AND STANDINGS

Contracting the service does not guarantee that the work will achieve PRO, PRO ALTO, or MASTER status. Classification depends exclusively on the final state of the photograph and adherence to the quantitative and qualitative criteria established by the methodology.

THE SERVICE OFFERS A DEVELOPMENTAL PROCCES. THE WORK MUST ARCHIVE THE CLASISIFICATION.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE WORK

To ensure a proper assessment, Mason Gallery PRO/MASTER LAB requires that the submitted photograph clearly displays its composition, lighting, color, detail, and visual treatment.

PHOTOGRPHY ARCHIVE

The photograph must represent the state that the author wishes to submit for review. It may be an image previously developed or edited by the photographer, provided that the version corresponds to their current artistic intent.

VERSION PRESENTED BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER

The photograph must represent the state that the author wishes to submit for review. It may be an image previously developed or edited by the photographer, provided that the version corresponds to their current artistic intent.

A WORK UPON REQUEST

Each request corresponds to a single photograph. Variants, alternative croppings, or different photographs must be considered independent works, unless Mason Gallery specifically requests additional material to understand the work.

AUTORSHIP

The submitted photograph must be the work of the photographer requesting the service, or the photographer must possess sufficient authorization to submit it for the process.

FILE INTERGRITY

The image must allow for a reasonable view of the work. Excessively compressed files, screenshots, very low-resolution images, or files that do not allow for an adequate assessment of detail may require a resubmission before the process begins.

THE QUALITY OF THE FILE DOES NOT DETERMINE THE ARTISTIC VALUE OF THE WORK, BUT IT MUST ALLOW THE LAB TO READ IT CORRECTLY.

APPICATION REVIEW AND ACCEPTANCE EVERY APPLICATION IS REVIEWED BEFORE ENTRY INTO THE LAB.

Submitting a photograph does not automatically represent its acceptance into Mason Gallery PRO/MASTER LAB. Each application is reviewed to confirm that the work and information presented allow the process to properly begin.

COMPLETED APPLICATION

When the photograph and information meet the entry requirements, Mason Gallery confirms the acceptance of the application and sends the corresponding instructions to continue with the payment and opening of the file.

INSUFFICIENT ARCHIVE INFORMATION

If necessary information is missing or the file does not allow for proper reading, Mason Gallery may request a new submission or additional information before accepting the work.

REQUEST NOT ACCEPTED

Mason Gallery may determine that a submission is unsuitable for the process if it fails to meet the established requirements or if the condition of the artwork does not allow for the responsible application of the PRO/MASTER LAB methodology.

NO PRE-ADMISSION ASSESSMENT

The review of the submission serves solely to determine whether the work is eligible to enter the process. It does not constitute a PRO/MASTER evaluation, does not assign a score, and does not predict the classification the photograph might achieve.

ACEPTING A WORK MEANS THAT THE PROCESS CAN BEGIN. IT DOES NOT MEAN ANTICIPATING THE AUTCOME.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answers to the main questions about Mason Gallery PRO/MASTER LAB — Review & Development.

WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY CAN BE SUBMITTED?

PRO/MASTER LAB focuses on the analysis and development of fine art photography. The work may belong to various photographic genres and styles, provided it can be evaluated within the LAB's criteria and methodology.

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT THE RAW FILE?

No. For the initial submission, a photograph in JPEG or PNG format is accepted, provided the quality is sufficient for a detailed visual assessment. If additional material is required during the process to understand any aspect of the artwork, Mason Gallery may request it.

MASON GALLERY MODIFY MY PHOTOGRAH?
Not as part of the Review & Development service. The LAB analyzes the work and recommends possible adjustments, but the photographer retains control over their file and decides which modifications to make.

DO I HAVE TO MAKE ALL THE RECOMMENDED ADJUSTMENTS?

No. The recommendations are not mandatory instructions. The photographer retains the final artistic decision and may accept, reject, or halt any modification.

ARE TWO RE-READINGS MANDATORY?

No. The service includes up to two re-readings when necessary. If, after the first revised version, there is no clearly identifiable reason to continue modifying the work, the process can be concluded.

DOES A RE-READING AUTOMATICALLY INCREASE MY SCORE?

No. Each version is evaluated based on its own merits. A change might improve the work, maintain its rating, or even negatively affect certain aspects.

PLAYING FOR THE SERVICE GUARANNTEES PRO, PRO HIGH MASTER?No. Contracting grants access to the review and development process; classification depends exclusively on the stage reached by the photograph and compliance with the methodology's quantitative and qualitative criteria.

IS "MASTER" A PROFESSIONAL OR ACADEMIC CERTIFICATION?

No. "MASTER" is an internal classification corresponding to the level of consolidation a photograph has reached within the Mason Gallery PRO/MASTER LAB methodology. It does not represent an academic accreditation or an external professional certification.

DOES MASON GALLERY ACQUIRE RIGHTS TO MY POTOGRAPH?

No. Authorship and rights to the photograph remain with the owner. Participating in the LAB does not automatically authorize Mason Gallery to publish, exhibit, or promote the work.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE PROCESS ENDS?

The final state of the photograph, its assessment, classification, and the conclusion are documented in the corresponding file. The process concludes when the work reaches its best identified state within the LAB or when further modification ceases to yield a justifiable benefit.

THE LAB DOES NOT SEEK TO PRODUCE MORE CHANGES. IT SEEKS TO DETERMINE WHEN A CHANGE STILL BENEFITS THE WORK.
